Introduction

These Terms & Conditions govern your access to and use of PlacementHub (the “Platform”). By creating an account or using the Platform, you agree to these Terms.

Platform Use

PlacementHub provides a marketplace-style platform to help Australian businesses list work experience opportunities and to help students/parents browse and submit applications. PlacementHub is not an employment agency and does not provide employment services.

Business Responsibilities

Businesses are solely responsible for the opportunities they list and for hosting students. This includes (without limitation) ensuring suitable supervision, providing accurate information, responding to applicants appropriately, and meeting all applicable legal obligations.

Student/Parent Responsibilities

Students and parents/guardians are responsible for ensuring any information submitted via the Platform is accurate and for assessing whether an opportunity is appropriate. Students/parents should follow school requirements and any instructions provided by the business.

Child Safety & Compliance

Businesses hosting students may be required to comply with Working with Children Check (WWCC) requirements, workplace health and safety obligations, and insurance requirements in their state/territory. PlacementHub does not verify or guarantee a business’s credentials, suitability, safety practices, or compliance with any legal obligations.

Participating businesses are solely responsible for meeting all applicable child safety, workplace safety, and insurance obligations. Schools and parents/guardians may request verification of compliance directly from the business.

Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PlacementHub is not liable for any loss, damage, claim, injury, incident, or dispute arising from or related to work experience placements or interactions between users. The Platform is provided on an “as is” basis and use is at your own risk.

Privacy

We handle personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Conduct

Users must act respectfully and professionally. Discrimination, harassment, inappropriate conduct, and unlawful activity are prohibited. We may take action where we believe conduct breaches these Terms or poses a risk to others.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts or restrict access to the Platform at any time if we reasonably believe a user has breached these Terms, provided misleading information, or otherwise poses a risk to other users or the Platform.

Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we will take reasonable steps to notify users. Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
